Nose lift, anyone?

Dear Lyle,

Do you that when you were still a few days old, your Ammachi (Grandma in Tamil) gave you a nose lift? Yes, Ammachi did this to your Ate Tricia when she was still a baby too. Indians have their way of bathing babies, give them nose lifts and put them on a smoke too . Since your Appa is an Indian and there are many advantages with this, we did this to you too!

(don't worry Lyle, I'll delete this when you're older :) )

The bathing part is good, since it really makes you very clean compared to the Filipino and Thai bathing style. The nose lifting part is also good since it will make your nose sharper :) (which already is) but to the onlookers it will seem very dangerous!hahaha! I could still imagine the look on your Granny and Mamay's face when they watched Ammachi gave you a nose lift. They shrieked and got scared..hahahah!! Imagine, Ammachi put her point finger inside you mouth and all the way to your nose and poke it. Then without any other support, held you up ( with just the point finger) in a split second! But our only assurance is that Ammachi is a pro! She has done that to hundred other babies including your Appa, his siblings and Ate Tricia too. And look at the result, they all have nice, sharp noses. How I wish Ammachi was already there when your Amma was born, my nose should have been different by now (hahahahah! is there still hope?)

Then the last part of the'ritual' is that we put you on smoke ( incense). Ammachi said this is to take away all the phlegm from your lungs. Then, the final touch is the 'eyebrows'. Ammachi put like 'herbal' eyebrow 'pencil' on your bare eyebrows to make your eyebrows look thick. ANd indeed it was soo thick that when your Ate Tricia saw you, she asked me, Amma, why Lyle boy's eyes look funny? hehehe!

Ok, that's all for now..we'll have to wait again till we go to your Ammachi's house before all these can be done to you again. :)
