Today you attended your 1st wedding. It's the wedding of our Sri Lankan friend, Uncle Prem and Auntie Lin who's a Thai. A month ago, Uncle Prem asked Ate Tricia to be the flower girl and miraculously she readily agreed. So, Amma and Appa asked her again and again if she's sure to become flower girl and she says, Yes! But at that time, we thought we couldn't attend their wedding because we were scheduled to go to Malaysia, so we declined.
So, your first wedding function wasn't so bad. We travelled about 45 mins. to the wedding venue and you were cool. During the ceremony, you were a very good boy and didn't give any hard time to Amma and Appa at all. You just sat quietly inside your baby carrier , looked around especially staring at the chandelier on top and then slept off when the ceremony was almost over.
Many people couldn't believe that you were only 5 weeks old because they said you look bigger than your age. At least for now that you're more than a month old we don't get disapproving looks from people whenever we bring you around. Because before whenever we bring you out, the people we meet (yes, most of them we don't know) usually ask Amma/ Amma how old you are and their usual remark will be, ' Oh so young, you're already bringing the baby out." ( in Thai) Since it seems in the Thai culture, babies younger than 1 month old are not supposed to be brought outside the house. But what to do lah, Amma and Appa has to go out ( especially Amma) to do some groceries or just simple take a break from being in the house and we can't leave you alone in the house..hehehe! That's one thing to be far from our relatives and home country..but where is home country for you now? Is it Malaysia or Philippines?..hmmm..we'll answer that next time.
